DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
The Home Health Aide program teaches students how to help the elderly, the disabled, and people who are chronically ill maintain their quality of life and independence at home. Focus is on safety, universal precautions, moving and lifting patients, cleanliness and infection control, patient health, hygiene, and nutrition. Students learn how to check and report on vital signs, handle special situations, and perform emergency procedures.
