The Phlebotomy Technician program prepares students to perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures safely and effectively in healthcare and laboratory environments. The program emphasizes anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system, infection control, specimen handling, patient interaction, and medical ethics. Students will acquire the technical and professional skills necessary to work as entry-level phlebotomy technicians in hospitals, physicians' offices, laboratories, and blood donor centers. Graduates will be eligible to sit for a national certification examination upon completion.
