DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
Students in the Clinical Medical Assistant Program will learn the foundational healthcare knowledge and basic science needed to become a well-rounded Medical Assistant. To begin, students will study healthcare systems, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Next, students will master the ins and outs of clinical patient care, such as infection control, Phlebotomy, EKG, patient care coordination and education. Then students will learn how to handle routine administrative responsibilities and get a good grasp of medical law and ethics as well as how to provide excellent customer service. Finally, students will prepare for and take their national certification exam.
