Massage Therapy Program - 501

The Massage Therapy (MT) program contains five (5) courses/subject matters and 24 weeks. The objective of the MT program is to train and prepare students for entry-level positions in the massage industry in a spa or clinical setting or as an independent contractor. Students completing this program should have an understanding of massage techniques and applications, client assessment and charting, anatomy and physiology of the human body, indications and contraindications of massage, effects and benefits of massage therapy, ethics, business, safety and sanitation, state statues and rules regarding massage therapy, as well as exposure to a variety of allied modalities,. These competencies are taught through live and video lectures using textbooks, anatomy models and charts and applications, as well as demonstrations with hands-on practice. Students should possess the skills and knowledge to test for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx). Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a diploma.
