DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
Become a Data Analyst. Employers increasingly are looking for analysts who have both the technical qualifications and the business acumen needed to problem-solve and communicate insights. That's why we partnered with Microsoft to offer the Data Analytics Career Track. Yes, technical skills are very important, and we'll make sure you master those: fundamental business statistics concepts; analytics and visualization tools including Excel, SQL, Python, Microsoft Power BI, and Tableau; plus advanced analysis techniques. But we will also teach you the strategic thinking required to become a successful analyst. This is an area hiring managers have told us most job seekers lack, so we've dedicated 50% of our curriculum to this critical training. You will learn how to break down complex problems so you can accurately test them, then structure your analysis around a central theme and present tangible business insights to key stakeholders. Two (2) capstone projects will allow you to bring all of your skills together as you choose your own data set, conduct end-to-end analysis, synthesize insights in slide deck format, and share your findings. These projects will be the center of a powerful portfolio that will showcase your abilities to hiring managers. Application submission, interview with Admissions, submission of skills survey This program is entirely remote. Students are required to have a computer and/or access to a computer to log in to complete their work. Internet WiFi is required to log into course content.
