Dialysis Technician certified programs provide students with a foundation in kidney physiology and nephrological disease. Students learn to prepare patients for dialysis treatments, connect them to dialysis machines, and monitor them during therapy. They also learn how to clean and disinfect dialyzers after each treatment for reuse. The program also provides students with the practical skills and medical knowledge needed to work in the field. Also, prepare them for professional certification exams, which could help with career advancement. The classes are didactic and provide clinical skills through simulated lab experiences. It will also be integrated into a professional externship so students can gain first-hand abilities while learning about concepts such as "" Patient Care principles. Sterilization and infection-prevention techniques, water treatment methods. Anatomy of the renal system, and kidney failure signs and symptoms.
