DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
The medical billing and coding online program provides the student with the knowledge and skills of the medical billing and coding field. This program uses MEDISOFT (Medical billing software), which will allow students to develop the confidence and skills necessary to become a successful user of medical account software. It also covers CPT, ICD-10 and third party reimbursements. Medical billing and coding specialists may be employed in any medical facility where physicians patients orders are coded, such as hospital medical recorded departments, physicians office, pharmacies, clinics, nursing homes, HMOs and insurance companies. Students will also be able to meet the demands of commercial insurance carriers and federally mandated programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and Workers Compensation.
