The 60-hour Fire Protection Inspector HHS (High rise and Hazardous Structure) course provides students the fundamental knowledge and educational experience required by the state for licensure under this title. Fire inspectors inspect building plans to ensure that they meet fire codes. They also examine buildings to detect fire hazards and ensure that federal, state, and local fire codes are met. The course is for high-rise and hazardous structures and can be taken after you have completed Fire Protection Industrial and Commercial Specialist (Industrial and Commercial Structures). This course covers techniques for plan review, materials testing, field inspection, fire protection systems, and report writing. Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.
