ESL Integrated Skills Advanced Level

This level covers fluency and advanced communication skills. Students will be able to self-monitor effectively when using basic grammatical structure and introduction to more complex structures. U.S. cultural values and thinking patterns are introduced through discussions, debates, readings and writing. Completion of this level will demonstrate knowledge of written and spoken English well enough to participate in a college or university program. The Test of English as a Foreign Language iBT Preparation Course is added to Advanced Level to help English as a Second Language learners develop skills and strategies necessary for successful performance on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). This course provides training of all four language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing in integration as it is required for the Test of English as a Foreign Language iBT.
