DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
The Nurse Residency Program is designed for newly graduated nurses and bridges academic preparation with the practical realities of delivering high-quality care to BAYADA clients in home-based settings. Grounded in BAYADA’s core values of compassion, excellence, and reliability, the program equips emerging nurses with the skills, confidence, and professional judgment required to provide exceptional, client-centered care in the home. The program incorporates a comprehensive blend of instructional modalities to support clinical competence and a successful transition into professional practice. Training includes: (1) self-directed learning; (2) educator-facilitated instruction, primarily delivered in an online format; (3) in-person simulation laboratory experiences; and (4) supervised, field-based learning through structured in-home precepting. This multi-modal approach enables nurses to safely translate theory into practice while developing clinical confidence in real-world care environments. Core training topics include clinical expectations for home health nurses, comprehensive patient assessment, effective implementation of individualized plans of care, and the application of evidence-based practices. By fostering both professional growth and a strong sense of purpose, the Nurse Residency Program prepares nurses to deliver high-quality care and make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of the clients and families they serve.
