DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

This program is designed to teach students the skills necessary for employment as an ECG Technician. The course will provide students with an overview of basic cardiovascular terminology, anatomy and physiology. Students will learn proper placement of electrocardiogram (ECG) leads and maintenance of equipment to obtain an accurate 12 lead ECG; as well as learning to recognize cardiac arrhythmias. A qualified ECG technician will be able to work in healthcare facilities and specialize in Electrocardiogram testing for patients. After the completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and be eligible to take the National Certificate Exams through the National Health Association to become an ECG Technician.
