DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

This course prepares students to work as Certified Electrocardiogram technicians (CET), a rapidly growing occupation. The need for qualified Electrocardiogram technicians continues to rise as the aging population in America grows. Earning a Civil Engineering Technology will help launch a successful and meaningful career. Students who successfully complete the 80 hour course will be eligible to take the Certified Electrocardiogram Technician (CET) national certification exam. Students who pass the exam are granted the title of Certified Electrocardiogram Technician (CET). As a Certified Electrocardiogram Technician (CET), students will have the credentials nearly all healthcare employers require to perform critical tasks of administering EKGs, as well as Holter monitoring and stress testing. These tests can be performed during physical exams, when cardiovascular problems are suspected, or in preparation for surgery.
