cGMP refers to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). cGMPs provide for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities. cGMPs provide descriptions of the methods, equipment, facilities, and controls for producing processed food, dietary supplements, and food packaging. Following CGMPs ensures the quality of processed foods and dietary supplements. It also ensures that processed food or dietary supplements are packaged and labeled as specified in the master manufacturing record. Compliance with the FDA 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 110 will essentially bring company procedures and policies into compliance with SQF L2 requirements. Participants in this course will learn the current elements and requirements of cGMPs. They will learn to apply these requirements to their work activities. The topics covered include: General Provisions Buildings and Facilities Equipment Production and Process Controls Defect Action Levels
