A central Sterile Technician or CRST is designed for anyone, anatomy and physiology-microbiology, an infection control: decontamination and sterilization process, and how to handle, care for, and identify surgical instruments. The premier Central Sterile Services CRST course also prepares you for future careers such as surgical technology and nursing. The Central service is responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of medical and surgical equipment /instruments, 400 hours of classroom, and 400 hours of externship.
