Practical Leadership is an intermediate-level course, targeted at the supervisor or manager who has begun to understand and incorporate leadership skills in their daily activities. The courses approach is to teach how to establish a connection with potential followers and then turn them into actual followers through communication skills, such as listening skills, presenting skills, recognizing and dealing with emotions, etc. It has been designed to build participants knowledge and skills using their work-related situations as a guideline. The objective of this course is to build greater personal skill and confidence in participants ability to provide practical leadership in the organization by focusing on the following areas: distinguishing between leadership and management; identifying and applying the skills of an effective leader; identifying blocks to leadership; recognizing the emotional level of others; using listening and questioning skills to develop rapport; determining how to position ideas and
