DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

This program is specially designed for those students who have at least 6 months experience in the dental field or are a recent graduate of a Dental Assistant program and require additional knowledge in Dental Anatomy and Dental Science. Participation in this program will be determined through a dental assessment entrance exam. The in-school radiology component of this course is 85 hours which is made up or 55 didactic hours and 30 lab hours. ACI is approved by the Board of Radiological Health and complies with Clinical Option D which requires students to take paralleling and bisecting angle technique radiographs. This program also provides the student with the education necessary to receive certification in Radiation Health and Safety through the Dental Assistant National Board examination and New Jersey State Licensure from the Environmental Protective Agency.
