As a Patient Care Technician, you will acquire the necessary skills allowing you to work in (acute, subacute) hospital setting as well as urgent care centers and physician offices. Patient Care Technicians generally work under the guidance of a professional nurse. Some of the basic duties delegated by the professional nurse are: obtaining and monitoring vital signs, lifting and transferring of patients and responding to patients call and request. PCT also draw blood specimens for laboratory testing as well as performing EKG's(electrocardiograms) and other clinical task.
