The Medical Insurance Billing Specialist/Biller Program is a 500 hours entry level program that teaches a student how to work in the insurance and health claims examination side of Healthcare. This program provides you with a solid foundation in the critical skills needed in medical billing and coding practices. As a successful graduate, you should be prepared to enter the health care field in billing and coding. Throughout your training, you will be provided with technological competencies and interpersonal strategies required of medical office professionals. You will also gain understanding of the value and importance of correct billing and coding. Medical Billing is the practice of submitting claims to Insurance companies or the government programs, specifically Medicare, Medicaid, in order to receive payment for services provided to a patient by a doctor.
