DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
Medical Terminology-instructs the students on learning vocabulary for accurately describing the human body and associated components, condition, processes and process in a science based manner. It is to be used in the medical fields. Understanding Medical Billing- instructs the students in healthcare coding systems, reimbursements methods, coding for medical necessity and common health insurance plans. Coding I: Students will learn how to walk through resources to understand the medical coding and reimbursement process. Coding II: Students will use the Medi-Soft Database during laboratory classes and receive in depth instruction on essential coding concepts. Ethical and Legal Procedures in the Medical Office: Students the evaluation process used in the medical office when faced with complex ethical issues. Computer in the Medical Office: Students who complete this course will learn the appropriate terminology and skills to use any patient billing software program. Students will use Medi-soft Billing Software
