DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

Sub Code Official is responsible for administering the subcode of the State Uniform Construction Code within the concerned jurisdiction under direction of the Construction Official. The Sub Code official inspects and/or supervises the inspection of construction projects under way to ensure that compliance with plans and specification approved in accord with State Uniform Construction Code is achieved. The course is divided into three main areas: Administration, Legal Aspects of Code Enforcement and related Legislation. This course covers the administrative and legal aspects of Code Enforcement, plan review, procedures and forms for permit applications, legal rights of landlords and tenants and issuance of Certificate of Occupancy. You must have at least one technical license in order to get the Sub Code License. Textbooks, materials, ID card and exam fees are not included, course texts are located in the college library for student use.
