DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
This course is designed to prepare working dental assistants for the New Jersey Dental X-ray Examination and is approved by the New Jersey Bureau of Radiological Health. The x-ray course I open to those with prior knowledge of dentistry and they are responsible for seeking out an office to complete their clinical hours. Course content includes exposure and evaluation of radiographs, film processing and mounting, radiation protection and safety, nature and properties of x-rays, quality assurance and much more. Students will also participate in lab experiences and clinical hours on patients in an approved dental office.
