Description

Electronic Medical Records Specialist is a certificate program that provides students with the knowledge and skills used in the modern medical office. The course will also introduce the best practices for transition from a paper based record to an Electronic Health Record. Students will learn essential skills in electronic patient record management. The program will introduce the basic functions of the Electronic Health Record, its benefit to us as healthcare workers and the benefit to physicians and patients. The program will explore the current Health Information technology standards as well as the rules and regulations that govern the Electronic Health Record Software. Satisfactory academic progress is measured in credit hours. Student must complete three (3) credit hours to graduate.
