DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
The baking and pastry program us a 675 hour program that teaches basic baking and pastry. Students learn language of the bake shop, tools, weights and measure as well as the industry standards for sanitation. Students are also taught bread production, cookies, specialty diets, candles, wedding cakes and decoration. Students are given all the tools necessary for entry level position in the baking and pastry industry. Students are required to complete an 80 hour externship.
