DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

This certificate program provides training blood specimens by vein-puncture and micro-collection techniques. The program will teach students about other clinical specimens. This course provides students with an understanding of the responsibilities associated with being a phlebotomy technician. The course provides an overview of Anatomy and Physiology, the cardiovascular system, diseases, wellness, and clinical procedures necessary to succeed as a Phlebotomy Technician, including the steps required to process laboratory tests in a hospital or physician's office. In addition, the course promotes communication skills, legal and ethical considerations, safety measures, and emergency response. The course opens a new door for students to enter the relevant job market and gives students the opportunity to acquire extensive knowledge along with required skills to become successful.
