DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity

This course is designed to present the basic principles of dental assisting. The student will be trained on an overview of the dental profession. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of dental radiology. Although students will learn tasks associated with dental radiology, such as film mounting and duplicating radiographs, students shall not operate x-ray equipment at any time. Completion of this course will not permit the student to perform radiological procedures, nor be eligible for licensure in Dental Radiology until they have successfully completed a Board accredited dental radiology program, have passed the licensing examination and have applied for and received a license. Coursework completed cannot be transferred into a Board accredited dental radiography program.
