DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
This course is designed to present the basic principles of dental radiology. The student will be trained on the origin, production and utilization of radiation in dentistry. Emphasis is placed on concepts of radiation safety and patient management. Through lecture, demonstration, laboratory sessions and supervised clinical education, the student will gain practical experience in exposing, processing and mounting dental radiographs of diagnostic quality. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the educational requirements for the New Jersey Dental Radiology Licensure Examination.
