DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
General English is offered to all those who intend to study and become proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. This program is open to international students and residents alike who intend to develop and improve their communication (both verbal and written) skills using the English Language. General English Level 4 is for students who are able to make effective and independent use of English. Oral communication competency remains the key focus, but students also learn to write a variety of academic and employment-related texts. Upper-intermediate grammar structures are studied, and vocabulary building is expanded to include a wide range of academic and social contexts. By the end of Level 4, students will be able to make very consistent and appropriate use of the English language with only occasional errors in communication in more complex situations.
