DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
This sixteen week course is designed for the person who is interested in obtaining training skills that will not only gain them employment with computer skills in a medical office, but also administrative and business skills to start a home based business. Students will learn the fundamentals and advanced features of using a personal computer. Students in the first eight weeks become proficient in using Microsoft Office (word, excel, access, power point, and publisher). Students then go on to learn medical terminology and medical billing/coding skills used by most medical billing clerks and administration. The final component of the program offers training in using Medisoft - a popular accounting program used in most medical offices. Successful students are prepared to obtain an entry level position in any medical office.
