DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
Participants will acquire the basic knowledge and skills needed to care for residents in long-term care facilities so they can assume the responsibilities of a caregiver. In addition participants will learn customer services and work maturity skills. They will learn about customer expectations, non-verbal messages, setting common grounds, listening to the customer, building trust; job maintenance skills such as positive work behavior, interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional image, adapting to change, team building and interpersonal communication skills. This training course prepares candidates to pass the test administered by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services, who provides the technical curriculum.
