DescriptionAbout this Learning Opportunity
General English is offered to all those who intend to study and become proficient in speaking, listening, writing and reading in English. This program is open to international students & residents alike who intend to develop and improve their communication (both verbal and written) skills using the English Language. General English Level 1 is for students with little or no prior exposure to English. Students at this level begin with the alphabet and numbers. They also learn basic grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing of basic sentences, phrases, and expressions related to everyday survival situations. By the end of Level 1, students will be able to function on a basic level in an English-speaking environment, communicating successfully in a limited number of familiar situations in which language is used in everyday life.
